Case studies with Correlative Mammography and Ultrasound

prepared by M T Rickard and J Jellins

This set of 11 case studies outlines

the presentation, imaging findings andmanagement of

commonly diagnosed breast conditions.

 

Excellent quality mammogram and ultrasound images arecorrelated,

and descriptions of the imaging findings

highlight the important diagnostic features illustratedby these cases.

 

The imaging is placed in a clinical setting,

so that the relevance of the imaging findings

and the recommendations for additional investigationsare discussed.

 

The management and tissue sampling results are givenfor each case study.

 

The format has been chosen so as to present thematerial in an easy-to-understand manner

with emphasis on the imaging and its contribution todiagnosis.

 

Each case consists of two mammographic films and oneultrasound image

for display on a viewbox together with a number of textpages.
