It is with sadness that we report the death of Professor Toshiji Kobayashi
who died on December 10, 2010 in Kitakyushu City, Japan.
Professor Kobayashi was a pioneer in breast ultrasound
who in the early 1970's described
important diagnostic criteria which contributed
to the basis of modern breast ultrasound interpretation.
Professor Kobayashi was a colleague and valued friend,
and we pay tribute to his memory.
